Online Angling Educator Course

This course is for Approved scouters 15 years or older and Adult Leaders in any council with online access.

The course is over two days,

6 November 2024 and 13 November 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. CST.

Upon course completion, Attendees will be awarded the Angling Educator Patch and Training Certificate

What is the Angling Educator Course?

Everything you need to know to take your Scouts Fishing!

The program is designed to give a student who has never fished the skills and knowledge, both practical and ethical, to go to a pond and be immediately successful.

How is the Course Administered?

The course is led online by a Scouting America Certified Angling Instructor for two hours each night. It covers fishing gear and safety practices and gives some good ideas for teaching scouts. Scouting America National provides the material, which is the same material used for the in-person classes.

What is the cost and what does it cover?

The cost is $15 per person. The price helps cover the online component to ensure we have enough space and time allotted for both events. After the course, the Patches will be mailed to each person at the addresses provided upon sign-up.
