The Pinewood Derby Cub Scout Race is an opportunity for your loved one to learn new Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) skills while having fun racing their cars against each other. Because of the tools needed to accomplish this task, it will take some parental assistance to complete this project. This event will be an event that your scout will discuss for years.
We look forward to completing this event with each of you and hope we provide something that everyone will remember for a long time.
To be eligible to compete in the Pack 7355 Cub Scout Race, the child must be registered in one of the dens within Pack 7355. Please see the Pinewood Derby rules below for the Greater Alabama Council to ensure the car built is in compliance.
Parents may assist with the project, but it is recommended that you work with the child on the design. Let them draw it out, figure out their paint scheme, and let them do a lot of sanding.
This race has 1st through 3rd place trophies for each den, overall 1st through 3rd place trophies for the fastest cars within the Pack, and the Cubmasters Choice trophy. So, make sure not only to build them for speed but also to make them look awesome.

We recommend racing in the Outlaw Race if siblings or parents want to participate in a Pinewood Derby Race.
